2- HANNAH (Younger sister- Around 8-9 years old)

Blue Highlight: For Voice Artists

Yellow Highlight: For Animators

START

Hannah: Bro, I think so I made a mistake, and now I got a virus on my computer.

Josh:(Concerned) What? Tell me more about it. Why do you think that your computer has a virus?

Hannah: I searched for Tulips for our mother on the occasion of Mother’s day and suddenly got this notification “Spyware Found! Warning”. I don’t want a creep spying on me. What should I do? Josh: (Sigh of relief) The first thing you should do is not click on that notification. It is probably a scam. These kinds of scams are called “Scareware.”

Hannah: Thank goodness I called you. Now I will close this scam with this button

(For Animator: Draw a tab with the scam message and show the “X” button at the top right corner. After Hannah clicks on the “X,” show another spam window opening)

Hannah: Whoa! I think so my computer HAS a scam it is not closing. It says my computer is overheating.

Josh: (Jokingly) No worries! I have a fire extinguisher. (Show a fire extinguisher in Josh’s hand)

Hannah: WHAT!!!

Josh: Haha, Just kidding. Close the tab from the tab bar.

Hannah:(Excited) Haha, it worked. Thanks, Josh. Now buy me a Pizza.

Josh: What… Why? I fixed your problem. Shouldn’t I be rewarded?

Hannah: We will spend time together. Isn’t this a great reward?

Josh: (Thinking) Hmmm, Ok, we can do that.

(For Animator. Draw the siblings sitting in the car and Josh is driving)

Hannah: Hey Josh. Can you tell me more about spiceware? I almost got fooled.

Josh: I guess you meant to say scareware.

Hannah: Oh yes. That. Scareware. Pizza sauces are roaming in my mind

(For Animator: Draw a cloud, like Hannah is thinking, and put a sauce jar and a pizza in it.)

Josh: These types of spam scams are widespread all over the internet. They usually appear on obscure websites.

And they try to scare you by showing scary messages that your computer is in danger.

Hannah: How can we avoid it?

Josh: There are numerous steps that you can take to avoid things like this.

1) Make sure you install legitimate malware or virus scanner software to properly detect and mitigate this threat.

2) Make sure you turn on your pop-up blocker.

3) Avoid paying the cybercriminals for a problem that never existed in the first place

Hannah: This was very helpful. I will install a good Virus scanner on my computer now.

Josh: I have bad news.

Hannah: (serious and a little bit irritated) What?

Josh: The Pizza shop is closed.

Hannah:

(Make a funny expression on Hannah’s face)
