Propancy: The Hidden Truth

Three teenagers join their new high school. As soon as they join some weird things started happening. Are the teenagers cursed or the school staff is hiding something sinister. keep reading to find out

SCENE 1: HOSTEL DEPARTMENT LOBBY

The new students are waiting for Mr. Onkis Gree, the head of the hostel department of the school, for a room to be allotted to everyone. There are supposed to be 52 new admissions this year in this hostel and there are the only bunch of people in the lobby. The new students are making small talks with each other to pass their time.

Huzaifa: Hi, my name is Huzaifa. I am 14 and I am a new student here in class 9. Who are you?(asking the boy next to him) Saad: Hi, my name is Saad, Saad Haris actually. People call me sid. Ah.. it's not important that u call me by the same name and all. Oh No. I am quite anxious sometimes sorry for that. Huzaifa: No no man, it's totally fine. I wonder when Mr. Onkis will show up? Saad: Yes. I am so excited for my new class, new friends, new roommates, new teachers, the old kenoj house, new food, new books, new security guards, new enemies, new arch-nemesis, new cru… (Huzaifa interrupts) Huzaifa: ok ok ok, I get it, u r too much excited about this new start Saad: you can get this I am easily excitable Huzaifa: yyeesss. Everything was fine, why on earth r are you excited to meet new enemies

Saad: well, you know you are not going to meet everyone and make them your friend. You will always meet some people who have some kind of negative impact on your life

Huzaifa: yes, I guess u r right, I am also excited about this new life but... ( Huzaifa is interrupted when a bunch of teenagers are coming from the door altogether and sitting on the chairs that they could find)

Saad: I guess Mr. Onker is here (a man with grey hairs and beard looking around 50 years old come in the lobby confidently with around 6 people who look like the staff members, he then stops in the middle of the room and starts speaking) Onker: I am Onker Gree but you are going to refer me as Mr. Onker and only Mr.Onker. I don’t want anything else to be referred by you students. DO YOU UNDERSTAND? All Students: Yes

Onker: I WANT TO HEAR YOU LOUD AND CLEAR!

All students: YES MR.ONKER

Onker: Good. They are 3 rules which you should follow in any circumstances. These rules have also been pasted on the notice board all around the building and you have to follow them so you don’t get in trouble. UNDERSTAND! All students: YES MR. ONKER

Onker: good, Rule number 1. You have to go to your room before 10. You are not allowed to leave your room after 11 pm. Not even if u forget something outside. Onker: Rule number 2, for no reason whatsoever you are allowed to leave the building after sunset Rule number 3: I have already told you rule number 3. Miss Inka and Miss Salina will sort u out in your room. Onker: ANY QUESTIONS Saad (excitedly): NO SIR!

(saad suddenly realized what he just did) Onker: I guess Mr. Saad has some hearing problems. Saad come to my office. NOW! (confused and scared saad follows Mr. Onker to his office or a torture room what he thinks his office looks like)

SCENE 2: ROOM 19 OF THE HOSTEL

(this room consist of 3 beds like every other room for students in the hostel. There is a door to enter the room. After entering the room you can see on the right 3 beds lined horizontally with the wall. There is a big window which covers about 50% of the wall opposite to the door from which you can enter. On the left side, there are 3 study tables on the opposite side of the beds. There is a cupboard on top of each table attached to the wall. There is a study light below the cupboards, this light focuses on the top of the study table. all the walls are painted white except the left wall which looks like it is made up of red bricks. This wall does look cool but not quite right.)

(Huzaifa enters this room with his briefcase.)

Huzaifa: Hmm, so this is how my new room looks like, well I like this bricky wall

(Huzaifa looks around more)

Huzaifa: looks like none of my roommates have been here because the only briefcase present here is mine. (the door of the room opens and to boys with briefcase comes in, out of which Huzaifa knows one of them)

Sid: hi new roommate. Whoa! Wait Huzaifa is that you, You are my roommate. I am soooooo excited.

Huzaifa: I too didn’t expect that I was sitting with my roommate all along. (focusing on the new boy). Who is he?

Sid: oh he, he is also our roommate. His name is Aashir. I found him in MR ONKER’s office which is on the top floor of our hostel building, without any elevators, and Mr. Onker was there before me like he just flew there in almost 2 minutes while it took me around 10 minutes to get there. I mean maybe he knows the ways or shortcuts better than me but this gap is HUGE. Like he has a power of some kind

Huzaifa(politely interrupting). I guess we should let Aashir introduce himself. If you don’t mind?

Sid: yes you are right

Aashir: well you know my name now and I am your roommate. We will get to know each other as time passes. And sid

Sid: yes?

Aashir: actually there are some shortcuts more like rooms or hallways which usually only staff can use

Huzaifa: what do you mean by only staff?

Aashir: I have seen some staff members opening a door on which ONLY STAFF is written and students are strictly prohibited. I mean really they are too strict with it

Sid: yes you are right MR ONKER, I will highlight his name for the rest of my life, also didn’t let me through those doors and told me to rather go from the regular route. Isn’t that rude?

Huzaifa: all of us were shown our rooms. Sid was an exceptional case and (laughingly) I don’t think so that sid is never going to make “that” mistake ever again sid: (horrified) excuse me

Huzaifa: yes?

Sid:(confused) ahhhh. I forgot what was I going to say,

Huzaifa: (doubtfully)…..ok, anyways Aashir what were you doing in his office

Aasher: (bewildered). Oh yes. I was…….(thinking fast)..late…..to come to the lobby.

Huzaifa: it looks like you are hiding something

(the atmosphere suddenly becomes uneasy)

Sid: ok, so anyone hungry? I have heard that we are going to have lunch soon. And for that, we have to go to the PH hall. I still wonder what does PH means.

Huzaifa: the concentration of hydrogen ions. Maybe.. Aashir: PH hall means propency hostel hall. We have to gather here to eat.

Huzaifa: how come you know about all this?

Aashir: I was here before all of you

Huzaifa: didn’t you just said that you were in Mr Onker’s office because you were late?

Aashir: (keeping cool). You really are a deeply observing person. I like this

Huzaifa:( keeping control over his tone so it won't look like that he is fighting) Don’t change the topic.

Sid: guys the food….hungry…..ph hall. Don't these words click something in your mind?

Huzaifa: yeah let's go I am also hungry

Aashir: well I said I was late to the hall I wasn’t late at the campus.

Sid: Good save man. You have to save me if I fall down due to hunger. I hope You know how to perform CPR

Aashir: Ew! gross

Huzaifa: I won't perform CPR on a hungry man.

Sid: great then let's go eat NOW, PLEASE!

Aashir: ok we are going to have a lot of time to discover each other

( the 3 boys leave the room and close the door)

Scene 3: PH Hall

(Aashir, Huzaifa, and Sid enter the hall. The PH Hall is the largest and the only hall of the Hostel. There are round tables of different diameters and chairs all around them. The food stall is present on the other end of the Hall. There are boys and girls scattered around as this Hall is one of the two places where the boys wing of the hostel and girls wing of the hostel joins)

Sid: So…. This place is HUGE!

Aasher: Well let's see what is here for Lunch

Huzaifa: we can take food from there and sit at a table

( The 3 boys take their food and sit on a table with 6 chairs. There is no one sitting there yet)

( Before they start eating Mr. Onker starts speaking on the hall speakers)

Mr. Onker: May I have your attention everyone.

Sid: (confused) where is Mr. Onker in this hall?

Mr. Onker: I need Zainab from class 10 in my office ASAP.

Aashir: Sid, There is a mic in his office he is speaking from there.

Sid: Okey.

( Two girls comes and ask the boys)

Girl 1: (pointing towards the empty chairs) hey is anyone sitting in these chairs?

Sid: No

Girl 2: great then can we sit here. There aren’t any empty tables left

Huzaifa: Yes, Sure.

Girl 1: Hi my name is Arisha

Girl 2: And I am Aliza

Sid: I am Saad but you can call me Sid.

Huzaifa: I am Huzaifa

Aashir: and I am…………

Arisha: Aashir, Yes we know about that

Aashir: but how

Aliza: we listened to your friends talking to you

Huzaifa: it's odd because we never…. (speakers interrupts)

Mr. Onker in speakers: I need Sara, Rabbiya, and Wajiha in my Office.

Huzaifa: do they always disturb students like this during Lunch

Aliza: Can’t say. This is our first day like you

Huzaifa: How did you know about our class Aliza: we saw you in the lobby and that Yes Sir thing (everyone looks at sid who is in the middle of eating)

Sid: What?

(everyone giggles)

(a boy sits in the only vacant chair) Shahzaib: Hi. I am Shahzaib and I am your senior. Sid: Hi senior Shahzaib what are your names?

(everyone introduces themselves one by one)

Shahzaib: Have you had a tour of the hostel?

Aliza: not yet Shahzaib: well great then I will be a tour guide for you. Huzaifa: Is this a ragging attempt?

Shahzaib: No, it's not. Arisha: we have finished our food. We are ready

Sid: me too Huzaifa: You all are too excited for a potential ragging Aasher: (laughing) So are you scared?

Shahzaib: don’t worry I won't do any kind of ragging with you

Huzaifa: and your classmates won’t do that either, right? sid: standing up. Let's find out (everyone gets up and some people are looking oddly at sid for his reaction.)

Scene 4:Room 19 of the hostel

(The 3 boys enters the room at 9:29 pm)

Aasher: we are back in our rooms before the lockdown Huzaifa: I enjoyed the Tour of our college

Sid: oh shut up u were a chicken before that. Aasher: I didn’t know that the odd numbers like 1,3,5 and so on are only present in the boys wing and the even numbers in the girls wing Sid: Aliza is in room 4, Arisha in room 10, Shahzaib in room 9 and there are total of 50 rooms in this hostel. Each room consists of 3 students living there. which makes 150 students living in this building OFFICIALLY Huzaifa:( surprised) You are really good at maths. Aasher: I am also surprised by your mathematics skill sid

Sid: Mr. Onker and the helpers live between both wings.

Aasher: Atleast I am never going to get lost with you Huzaifa: so Aasher you know all the places of the hostel now?

(there is a knock at the door)

(sid opens the door. Its Shahzaib)

Sid: Hi senior please come in

(Shahzaib is a little tensed. He makes his way towards the closest bed)

Shahzaib: you know that you are not allowed to leave the room after 10:00 pm

Huzaifa: It's still…… 9:47 pm

Shahzaib: well…….. you know……….you shouldn’t……..like never…….ahmmm.( after a 30 seconds gap) (confidently) U should never leave your room and good luck for your first class tomorrow. Bye.

( he gets up to leave the room and as he reaches the doorway he looks back and says something)

Shahzaib: I will tell you some things when it’s the right time. Until then trust me.

(Shahzaib leaves the room) Huzaifa: it looks like he was hiding something Aasher: maybe. (Aasher looks a little tensed and Huzaifa notices that) Sid: anyways leave it. so we haven’t decided on our beds yet. So I am taking the bed near the window. Huzaifa: I will then take the bed near the door Sid: Great so Aasher……… ( aasher is deep in his thoughts)

Huzaifa: AASHER!

Aasher: yes…. What's going on.

Sid: you have the bed in the middle, ok?

Aasher: ok, yes, it's fine by me. Huzaifa: I think so we should sleep, we have a great day tomorrow

Sid: yes our very very first class of the high school ( the 3 boys prepares to sleep)

Huzaifa: Good Night Sid: Good night Aasher: Good night

(they sleep) ( they are woken by a continuous tapping on the window glass) Sid: This noise is annoying Huzaifa: hey Sid get up and see what is it?

( Sid gets up and go to the window and opens it) Aasher: I don’t think so we should open the wind…..

( Sid is pushed back and flies in the air and clashes with the wall opposite to the window and falls down unconscious)

( the other two boys goes on to the fight or flight response and get up from their beds)

Aasher: ( screaming) HUZAIFA CHECK ON SID AND I WILL GO CLOSE THE WINDOW!

Huzaifa: done. NOW!

( Huzaifa goes towards sid and aasher rushes to the window)

Huzaifa: Sid. Sid Are you alright?

Sid:……………….. (something humanly comes from the outside through the window and stands in front of Aasher)

(that creature looks like a girl in the uniform of Propancy High School. She is just 2 feet away from aasher)

(she raises her hand and suddenly holds the neck of aasher and proceeds to choke him)

(Huzaifa reaches to his study table grabs a hardbound book and throws with all his strength)

( the book hits her and she screams and extends her hand from which she was choking aasher. Still choking she pulls him up in the air with one hand. She pushes Aasher towards the opposite wall still chocking him. Her hand is extended to an unnatural length

( she twists and extends her other hand to an unnatural length towards Huzaifa who is picking up another book and grabs his neck and start to choke him too)

( she picks up Huzaifa in the air and pushes him towards the wall where Aashir is already choking.)

( she did all this with a constant face with not even a single change in her expression like that face cannot move. There is an intense fear on her face and according to the moment it makes it even scarier)

( all this happens within 15 seconds)

(Aasher starts to pass out)

( the door of the room burst opens and Mr Onker Enters the room holding a stick towards that creature which doesn’t look like a normal human now with unnatural long hands.

Mr. Onker: Baccalaureus!

( a light from the stick throws itself to the creature and the light pushes the creature outside the window)

( aasher and Huzaifa drop down on the floor. Huzaifa falls on his knees Coughing and breathing heavily while Aasher falls down unconscious)

( Mr. Onker rotates the head of the stick down and the window also closes)

Mr. Onker: Two students unconscious they need immediate help

(miss salina and miss Onkus come in)

(Miss Salina comes in and goes for Aasher and miss Inka goes towards sid.)

Huzaifa: ( breathing heavily) (Mr. Onkis approaches Huzaifa and touches Huzaifa on his head with his stick) ( Huzaifa falls to the ground unconscious)

Miss Salina: With whose face did it come this time?

Mr. Onker: Zainab

SCENE 5: MR. ONKERS OFFICE

(Mr. Onkers office is not so big as the Principals office. It’s like a normal office. Currently, there are 5 people present in the office) Zoha(crying and sobbing): what do you mean it was in the appearance of Zainab. Why didn’t you capture it? She is missing from 2 days. We could have known something from that monster. How could you just let it go like that? Mr. Onker(calmly): It was choking our 2 students. I had to act fast before that thing did any more harm to them. Zoha: they can't kill them and you know about that. Mr. Onker: It shouldn’t even reach the hostel but it did attack the boys. Zoha: that thing had a face of Zainab. This means Zainab is in trouble. why can't you just go into that forest to do something? Mr. Onker: May be you should go to your room and prepare for the first class tomorrow Zoha(screaming): STOP THIS NONSENSE! MY SISTER IS IN THAT FOREST! DO SOMETHING! Mr. Onker(in a dominating voice): Zoha! your sister went to that forest by herself and you know about that note she left. Zoha(now crying): I am sorry. Please. I don’t know. I want my sister back. I can't face my parents. I had to be the elder sister who should take care of her sister. She was a curious girl I must have seen that coming (Miss Inka is now comforting her and then took her out of the office ) Miss Salina: Mr. Onker I have updates regarding the situation. Mr. Onker: Farhan why are you here? Miss Salina: He was called here. He is from room 21. He informed me about the voices from the room next door. Mr. Onker: ok so why did you call him? Miss Salina: I didn’t. Mr. Onker: Then who did? Principal: I did. (Mr. Onker stands from his seat) (Principal is a calm man almost in his 60s. He is in his Siut, he feels like the most dominant character in the room)

Mr. Onker: Principal you are back from your vacation. Principal: Farhan you said that you heard those voices am I correct? Farhan(confused by the sudden arrival of the principal): Yes….. Principal Principal: Why didn’t you ignore the voices or try to investigate them? Farhan: They were too violent, I was scared. Principal: You are also in class 9. Am I right? Farhan: Yes Principal Principal(still calm). Farhan is there anything I should know? Farhan: Yes(unsure whether he should tell him) Principal: What is it? Farhan: A Senior came into my room before all this happened. (pause) Principal: And? Farhan: He told me that if I hear anything strange from the room next door I should inform a teacher or Mr. Onker and tell them “IT IS HERE”. He warned me not to waste any time and not to go into that room.

Principal(Surprised): Who was that Senior? Farhan: Shahzaib Principal: Miss Salina. Kindly call Mr. Shahzaib. Miss Salina. I cant. He is missing right now. Principal: Farhan, Think again is there anything else regarding that incident? Farhan: No Sir. Miss Salina: He is speaking the truth. You should also know that he saw the incident as well

(Principal thinks and then nods at Mr. Onker) (Mr. Onker grabs his staff and touches it on Farhan’s Forehead quickly and swiftly before the boy could react) (Farhan becomes unconscious and started to fall before Mr. Onker grabbed him.) (Mr. Onker lays him down on the sofa) Mr. Onker: Principal, what about his roommates Miss Salina: those 2 boys haven’t arrived yet. They didn’t experience anything regarding this. They will be here in the morning Mr. Onker: Huzaifa and Farhan won’t remember anything regarding this incident

Principal: Miss Salina take them both to their rooms. I want the first day as normal as it should without any panic regarding this Mr. Onker: The other two boys? Miss Salina: I will give the updates. Aashir was choked. Dr. Eisha took care of him. He is out of danger now. Saad was attacked with a spell. Dr. Eisha and Sir Yousuf are still trying to break the spell. Principal: How did that creature get so strong? They couldn’t even come near the hostel before. Now it can enter the hostel without any detection and even used a spell successfully on a student. Mr. Onker: It came in the face of Zainab. It was a sakalana. They can copy the face of the victim Miss Salina: 2 students are missing. Zainab went there purposefully to explore. Shahzaib disappeared after the attack Principal: I feel like Shahzaib knew what was going to happen. Maybe he Disappeared before the attack. Maybe Shahzaib was involved in provoking this attack. Mr. Onker: maybe Principal: How many people know about this? Miss Salina: 9 people excluding Shahzaib, Principal: name them Miss Salina: Mr.Onker, Miss Salina, Miss Inka, Dr. D, Sir Yousuf, Aashir, Saad, Zoha and you Principal: Why Zoha Knows about this? (There is a knock on the door, Mr. Inka Comes in) Miss Inka: Shahzaib told Zoha about the attack Mr. Onker: This concludes that Shahzaib disappeared after the attack.. Miss Inka: Main Question is why did he disappear. Principal: I am back Mr. Onker. I will be taking my power. I will be making my returning speech

Mr. Onker: Sure…
